I am a tantalizing blend of opposites, a sensuous intellectual… as often as you can find me with my head buried deep in my books, you may catch me eagerly exploring all I do not yet know of the world, experiencing yet undiscovered pleasures...
A gifted, classically-trained musician, I was headed for the concert hall when I fell in love with philosophy… and pursued an academic path instead. I am an intellectual, I admit it, with all the abstract erudition of someone with her head in the clouds — bring me back down to earth with a glass of wine (or scotch!) and some good conversation. I take joy in discussing high and low brow culture…..I love modernist art and literature, art house film, walks in the park, and exploring new parts of the city. I think I’m trying to convey that you can take me anywhere, just take me and enjoy!
I set out on this course with a scholarship to an Ivy League college, where I finished 4 consecutive years on the Dean Lists and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a double major in music and philosophy. I now have a full ride fellowship to grad school. Not bad for 25 you say but whence leads the path? A degree in philosophy and $2.75 can get on the subway but won’t land you a job interview, as the saying goes.….hence my current attempt at a spot of moonlighting.
In high school and college I ran competitively and have kept in impeccable shape since, completing several 1/2 marathons. I play piano exceptionally well and love to serenade my friends and lovers with classics from Beethoven to Rachmaninoff. Born in western Massachusetts, I appreciate the charms of nature as much as the excitement and culture of the city. While completing my undergraduate degree, I studied at some of the most prestigious schools in Paris and took the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe. After graduating, I moved to NYC for grad school. While I keep busy with classes, teaching, and research, I take every chance I get to explore the incredible art, music, film, and food this city has to offer… and I keep dreaming of my next adventure abroad.
I love finding what stimulates people... intellectually, spiritually, and sensually. I am intuitive about your desires, and excited by finding our unique way of connecting. I am in turns sophisticated and silly; spontaneous yet loyally devoted; responsible but madly adventurous.
